Alice Braga is a Brazilian actress. She is known for her role as Angelica in the 2002 film City of God, and for I Am Legend, Redbelt, and others.

Alice is the daughter of Ana Maria Braga and Nico Moraes. Her aunt, her mother’s sister, is actress Sônia Braga (Sônia Maria Campos Braga). Her mother is said to have Portuguese, as well as Indigenous and African, ancestry.

Alice’s maternal grandfather was Hélio Fernando Ferraz Braga (the son of Alonso de Carvalho Braga). Alonso was the mayor of municipality of Tupã, São Paulo. Alonso was the son of Américo Pedroso Braga and Francisca Carvalho.

Alice’s maternal grandmother was Maria Jaci Campos (the daughter of Boaventura Avelar Campos and Ana Maria da Cunha). Ana was born in São Paulo, the daughter of Silvestre José da Cunha and Delfina Maria do Carmo.
