Lloyd Harlin Polite Jr., known as Lloyd, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. Lloyd began his musical career as a member of the ten-man band N-Toon. The band disbanded in 2001 and Lloyd began a solo career in 2003. He then signed a recording contract with Murder Inc. Def Jam recordings and recordings. In 2004, Lloyd released his first solo single "Southside", the title track of his debut album Southside. The single featured Ashanti, and it quickly hit the US Billboard Hot 100 and became a Top 40 hit. His second album, Street Love, was released on March 13. 2007.
